Ocean Exploration


My reserves of sand were getting low again (a rather regular occurrance, given my love of glass) so it was time to search out another bit of coast to destroy improve. I brought along my map, since there were a lot of unexplored sections to add.

Along the way, I found some free gifts on a beach.  

Don't mind if I do.

All was going well until I paid a bit too much attention to the map, and not quite enough on my incoming speed for boat landing.

I lose more good boats that way.

No matter, there was plenty of sand to be had here, and another section of water to connect up to at the same time.  Two birds with one stone!  A quick check of the surroundings turned up a free gift of iron ore as well for the taking, and an odd stone beach. 


All was progressing swimmingly until the sun started to go down.  No problem, I'll hop right back in... my... crashed boat.  Crap.  Okay, plan #2.  Dig a hole!  I've got torches, no problem waiting out the night.  I'll just dig right into this nice hill here and...

Dammit.
